THE RAIN POURS DOWN MY BACK THE WIND LOSES EYES BEHIND
MY WET HEAD OF HAIR
BARRICADED INSIDE I SHARE THE SEAWALL WITH CROWS FULL OF LICE
THE SKY ACHEIVES RED FOR THE NEW BEGINNING
AS I PUT MY HOOD UP SMOKE AND WONDER WHAT NHILISTS WONDER
I FELT NOTHING IT GOT OLD IVE BEEN WITHDRAWN SO IVE BEEN TOLD
I’VE BEEN SEARCHING UNTILL SEARCHING MADE ME GRIM
I’VE MET PEOPLE WITH PERSONALITIES LIKE MY TONGUE ON A BATTERY
WHO FIND THE DISCONECTION BEFORE THE CONNECTION
BUT THATS WHERE I FOUND THE CURE FOR DISCONNECTION
THAT’S WHERE I FOUND THE SHELTER

This album expanded the horizons of grind in directions I neither expected nor would have believed that I would enjoy. No other grind album ever made me feel the sweet toothache sadness of Patsy Cline, or made me wistful (for anything other than the F.E.T.O. lineup of Napalm Death). Also, those two drummers: one will blow your spine out your back and the other will explode it into marrow-mist before the rest of your carcass hits the ground. Ezra Claverie
